Clem & his space

I’ve been a bit slack introducing you to all the people I share my studio with, so this week I would like to give you a quick tour of my fiancee Clem Stamation’s space and work.

People often ask if it’s hard to share workplace with my partner but the truth is it’s very handy. Clem animates and directs, I design – it’s the same but different. We help each other out on projects occasionally and Clem is always a source of inspiration and feedback. We never run out of things to talk about, Clem pushes me to do and try new things and I do the same for him. What can I say, we wouldn’t be a couple if we didn’t share the same passions and aesthetic taste.

My absolute favourite project of Clem’s is his music video for Waxstag. The clip sums up what Clem and his design is all about: it’s made from real paper cut outs, it’s colourful, it’s perfectly synced to the music and it’s not too serious… a piece of art!

Take the time to watch it from start to finish, it’s only 3 minutes and will make you feel good for the rest of the day.

The last project we worked on together was a little animation for my Tivolivat Launch party. Clem prefers making things by hand whenever he can so for this one it was all stopmotion. I got a sore back from turning all the decorations by hand, but it was definitely worth it!
See the result below.
